Affordable Pest Control (APC) is a comprehensive Flutter-based mobile application designed for both Android and iOS platforms, revolutionizing the pest control industry through digital transformation. The app serves as a complete business management solution for pest control companies, enabling technicians to manage their daily operations efficiently. With features including technician registration, job site management, scheduling, invoicing, and real-time performance tracking.
Technologies Used
The Problem
Pest control companies relied on paper-based job tracking, manual scheduling, and delayed invoicing, leading to inefficiencies and customer dissatisfaction. Technicians had no digital tool to manage daily routes, document treatments, capture site photos, or generate invoices on-site. Dispatchers struggled with real-time tracking of field technicians, resulting in poor resource allocation and missed appointments.
The Solution
Developed a field service management app using Flutter with Provider for state management. Integrated Google Maps API and Geolocator for route optimization and real-time technician tracking. Implemented Sqflite for offline data persistence, allowing technicians to work in areas with poor connectivity. Built a custom PDF generation system for creating professional invoices and treatment reports with digital signatures. Integrated Local Notifications for appointment reminders and task alerts. Created a Node.js backend for centralized data management and analytics dashboard.
